I-Slam Hockey continues to donate all of its proceeds to charity! In our first year, we donated all of our proceeds of $1,400 to the North American Muslim Foundation (NAMF) in order to help less-privileged people from our community. Last season, we generated $5,000 to donate to The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. However, upon learning of a special program in place for donours to become long-term partners of the hospital and its efforts, we decided to hold onto the donation money in order to combine it with the proceeds from this upcoming season in order to meet the minimum $10,000 donation requirement.
Our hope is that after Season III, I-Slam Hockey and the Muslim Community of Toronto will be part of The Hospital for Sick Children's Circle of Friends program. May Allah (SWT) provide you and us with more wealth so we may spend it in His way. Ameen. |
