Duha needed to make a statement. Their season ended on a 2-game losing streak after starting on a 4-0 tear. Teams weren't even thinking twice about Duha anymore, even the lower seeded ones, as they had Duha's loss to Al-Jumah to draw inspiration from. Al-Masad needed this game to prove to the league that their team had what it takes to win in the playoffs and that they would have won last week's game even if they hadn't decided to take the game by forfeit. When both teams met earlier in the season, Duha won pretty easily 51-34 as their big men dominated Al-Masad's big men.

Al-Masad's big men looked to redeem themselves in this match-up, however the Saleh pride was too much as they set the tone early. The Saleh brothers managed to chip in 20 points and 11 rebs between them while holding Al-Masad's big men to only 2pts and 3 rebs total. Their domination down low combined with Abdul Bari's scoring was too much as Al-Masad trailed at the half 22-11 and ultimately lost 58-31. Duha moves on to face Ash-Shams.
