Kafirun knew that they were in for a tough game facing Bayyina in this second round match, they would need another strong game out of Greg Hamilton as well as other players to step up if they were going to have a chance to move on.

Bayyina came out flying as they immediately took advantage of mismatches of the floor and blew by defenders for easy baskets. Kafirun was desperate to keep pace and Hamilton drove the lane hard and either took a lay-up himself or dropped it down to Colin Garraway who was working to establish position down low. Kafirun called for a timeout with 5:32 left in the half and trailing 29 -17. This did not help as Bayyina continued to push the ball and score easy baskets on fast break opportunities. When the first half ended it was Bayyina leading 44-28. Antar Agil led Bayyina with 14 points while Gamada Roba and Mohammed Dirie each finished with 8 points. Kafirun was led by Garraway with 13 points and Hamilton with 11 points.

The second half saw Bayyina slow the offense down a bit to take more time off the clock and this strategy seemed to backfire as Kafirun started to chip away. Bayyina was forced to call a timeout with 5:07 left and leading 60-51 after Kafirun cut the Bayyina lead from 19 to 9. Poor substitutions for Kafirun saw Garraway sit down and a guard take his place which gave Bayyina a better match-up on the floor to defend. Kafirun called their timeout with 1:06 left and down 66-56, needing to score and steal the ball back on multiple possessions in order to tie the game up. They were unable to close the gap and the game ended with Bayyina winning 67-59. Hamilton led all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds, he was supported by Garraway with 15 points. Bayyina was led by Agil with 16 points while Dirie finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Bayyina will now move on to face Zilzal looking to fare better than when they last met in the regular season. In that game Zilzal won 70-58 after a huge second half.
